New England vs. Chesapeake While both the people of the New England region and of the Chesapeake region descended from the same English origin, by 1700 both regions had traveled in two diverse directions. Since both of these groups were beset with issues that were unique to their regions and due to their exposure to different circumstances, each was forced to rethink and reconstruct their societies. As a result, the differences in the motivation, geography, and government in the New England and Chesapeake regions caused great divergence in the development of each. As the regions began to expand and develop, their motivations for settlement helped to mold their societies. These contrasts were brought about by the positive and negative impacts off the geography in each region. It strongly influenced the New England and Chesapeake regions in unique and separate ways. The Chesapeake also had its own obstacle brought about by nature. Diseases such as dysentery, malaria, and typhoid struck hard, cutting off numerous years of life expectancy for the people of the Chesapeake. Since health is a major concern for a developing colony, disease in a colony tends to eat at the morale of a town. This was demonstrated in the Chesapeake where disease cost many colonists their lives, especially women, leaving many men frustrate with little hope for having families. This harsh reality along with the arduous voyage decreased the amount of women and children who immigrated to the region (Doc C,F). Unlike their Southern counterparts, New England was healthier and not ravaged by disease. The cleaner conditions increased the colonists’ life expectancy by several years. In these last months of spring for 2014, the global conflicts have been very prominent. As a spectator watching these unrests unfold I am lead to consider what is driving this unrest around the globe. To give cause to these precipitous events one cannot help but try and get to basics first to help understand who of the great intellects is looking in the right direction on the future of our world inhabitants. Of the four paradigms, this case of believable results, shows for consideration to only one predictable paradigm. In defense of stating a clear understanding one must first make look at the empirical facts and so research and logic first leads us to the understanding of which of the authors of these four paradigms and what each might have hopefully considered when they concluded the ideas that they put to articles. This study will discuss the importance of business organizations to report in reference with Sustainable Development Goals. The study will highlight the importance for business organizations in achieving the 17 SDGs adopted by the countries. Moreover, the contribution of businesses in sustainable economic, social and environment development of the planet will be discussed in this study. Discussion Sustainable development goals (SDG) are the global agenda and set of global goals for people, planet and prosperity. It is consisted of 17 global goals, which are actually set by United Nations (Citiscope.org, 2018). These goals are actually intended towards protecting the planet, ending the poverty and ensuring the prosperity for all. Each goal has its own specific targets to be achieved towards achieving global sustainable development. Sustainable development goals are actually developed to replace Millennium Development Goals (MDG), which have been ended in 2015. Unlike, MDGs, SDGs do not differentiate between developing and developed nations. Moreover, SDGs are applied to all countries towards a high level of sustainable global development. According to Keesstra et al. (2016), the target of sustainable development goals is to transform the world and seek to enhance the Universal peace in larger freedom. The agenda has identified that eradicating poverty in all its dimensions including extreme poverty is one of the biggest global challenge. The collaborative partnership among the global countries and its stakeholders can provide collaborative and effective solution to these extreme global challenges. As per Tangcharoensathien et al. (2015), SDGs are aimed at eradicating the poverty and hunger for ensuring that all people are fulfilling their potential in dignity and equality. Moreover, these goals are intended towards enhancing the prosperity of all human beings equally. On the other hand, Lu et al. (2015) opined that the target of sustainable development goals is to protect the planet from degradation including sustainable consumption and production through sustainable management of natural resources. On the other hand, SDGs are also majorly focused on high level of social development by creating peaceful and inclusive society, which is free from fear, violence and injustice.
